Welcome!
Who is Samasti
Our team is made up of practitioners completely committed to our fields of expertise. By dedicating our lives to our self practice and development, we have gained the ability to aid others in taking the next step on their journey.
The training is designed to be highly interactive, allowing students to not only learn the theoretical “map” of yogic teachings, but also explore the inner “territory” through direct experience, leading to personal growth, professional development, and spiritual transformation.
The course has been created in this way to ensure the graduates will be teaching from a place of true experiential wisdom, rather than borrowed knowledge from books.
Our Philosophy
Deconstruct. Reconnect. Blossom.
Everything we teach moves through three stages. We call them deconstruction, reconnection, and blossoming.
Throughout our lives we are taught how to behave, what to wear, how we need to be to be loved. All of this moves us further from our natural state of being and can make us feel like we are watching a movie of our life, being simply an actor, pretending to be alive. The first step to knowing yourself is a deconstruction of all the falsehoods you have learnt throughout your life.
This is gentle work, but it is honest work. Through practice, silence, and inquiry, we begin to notice the roles we have been playing and the beliefs we have carried that were never really ours. Nothing needs to be forced. When a falsehood is truly seen, it begins to fall away on its own.
Once you start to remove all the falsities, and see the ways you are pretending in your life, you can start to reconnect more and more to who you truly are. You can begin to find out what your life is for, what is your purpose and what are your natural gifts and talents.
This is where the tools of yoga come alive. Asana strengthens and opens the body, pranayama steadies the breath and the nervous system, meditation quiets the noise, and yogic philosophy gives the whole journey a map. Practised daily, in community, these tools turn reconnection from an idea into a lived experience.
From this place of connection, you are able to share with the world from a place of authenticity and joy. No longer looking for external recognition and validation, rather shining and sharing the fruits and flowers that have blossomed from your inner being.
This is why our graduates teach with such presence. What they offer was not memorised from a book. It grew from the inside, and it shows, in how they teach, how they hold space, and how they live.
