Is this you
With more than 500 graduates since 2016, the same four reasons for joining the program appear again and again.
40 hours of teaching methodology and two full hour practicums mean you leave having actually taught, with feedback from senior teachers and your peers. This is about providing an experience, not just getting a certificate.
You have enjoyed the practice, but the philosophy, the breathwork and the meaning behind it all still feel out of reach. You want to know how to bring yoga into your daily life.
A clinical physiotherapist teaches the anatomy, and you learn it on your own body, not from a book.
Between work, family and screens, you know a one weekend workshop will not shift anything. A month of full immersion, inward first, will.
The Samasti difference
There are hundreds of 200 hour trainings to choose from. This is what makes us unique.
Sean is a registered physiotherapist with a BSc in Physiotherapy. You learn how bodies actually work, how to keep them safe, and how to adapt yoga to injuries and limitations. This is clinical knowledge, not yoga folklore.
The industry minimum is 180 hours and most schools stop there. We run 28 days instead of 21 and use every one of them, giving you 80 more hours of practice, philosophy, anatomy and real teaching than in a standard training.
Many trainings run with 40 or more students. At Samasti you join a small group where everyone is known by name from day one. Your teachers know your body, your history and your challenges by the end of the first week, and by graduation your cohort feels like family, the kind that stays in your life long after Bali.
Accommodation for the full month, two organic vegetarian meals daily, excursions, traditional Balinese ceremony, sound healing experience, all manuals, and a 40 day sadhana, our guided home practice, after you graduate. One price, no surprises when you arrive.
Most schools allow you to graduate after one 15 minute practicum. Here you plan and teach two complete one hour classes before you graduate. It is the difference between holding a certificate and being ready to stand in front of a room.
The traditional practices in this training come through an unbroken teacher to student line. Sean is a recognised teacher within a living tantra lineage and still travels to study with his teacher in India every year.
\nWhy four weeks
Real change moves like a moon, not a switch. It fills a little more each week, and only becomes whole in the fourth. We built 28 days so nothing has to be rushed, and so what opens in you has room to become something you can carry home and teach.
The fourth week is where it all takes hold. It is the part we will never cut.
From the founder
Samasti works from a simple idea: what you have lived is stored in how you move, breathe and hold yourself. Asana, pranayama, meditation and somatic work are not separate subjects here. They are one practice, approached from four sides. Nothing is taught as information for its own sake. You practise it, feel it in your own body, and only then learn to teach it. The inward journey comes first, because it is what makes the outward sharing real.
\nThe training stands on two legs: clinical movement science from Sean\u2019s physiotherapy practice, and traditional teaching he carries as a recognised teacher within a living Indian lineage.
The path
The training moves through three stages. You take yourself apart, return to what was always there, and share your gifts with the world.
Your teachers
Sean teaches alongside teachers who have given their lives to this practice.
What you learn
Movement, breath, meditation, philosophy, anatomy and self awareness are not taught as separate subjects, but as parts of one complete system. Across the month, each area is woven through practice, discussion and teaching experience, helping you understand not only what to teach, but how yoga can support the whole person.

A day at Samasti
A rhythm designed to move you deeper each day, with real space to rest.
Where you will live
Set within a private estate in Canggu, the villa features an open air living area for meals and rest between classes, lush gardens, a large pool, beautifully designed air conditioned rooms with private ensuites, and two peaceful shalas with garden views.
More than accommodation, it is an integral part of the training: a safe and tranquil home away from distractions, where you can rest, feel supported and go deeper into the experience.

After the training
Most trainings end at graduation. Ours doesn’t. Every graduate is invited into the 40 day sadhana, a guided home practice that carries what you built in Bali into your daily life, with a prompt, a practice and your cohort checking in with you the whole way.
You also join more than 500 graduates in our worldwide alumni community, where teachers share classes, swap job leads and stay connected to the people who trained beside them, long after they have left the shala.
